so im burning debian to a dvd

it's currently making sounds from the bowels of hell

oh god it's so fucking loud it sounds like a rocket is being launched five feet from my head

the fuck is wrong with my disc drive

computer suddenly stopped growling at me and now it's making a beeping sound

this is not good

christ allmighty it's like it chewed the disk up and spit it out

the disk was really hot when i took it out and there was a ring going around the top of it that almost looked like friction-burn type things

The moral of the story: Be careful when burning something onto a CD, it might literally burn.

the best part is that no data got burnt onto it - the disk is still virgin. so basically i sat there for 15 minutes destroying my eardrums for nothing

completely fucking wrecked it now it just spins the disk around and heatlamps it

i have a laptop ;_; ;_; ;_; hopefully i can stop being a pleb once i get the dosh for it

it was actually while i was doing my first ever OS installation, i was getting Dragora for some reason (turned out to be a huge fucking mistake since i was still a windows peasant and didnt know SHIT about how to use a distro like dragora) and i got a marker to label my DVD, sat back down on the couch where my laptop was perched RIGHT on the disk drive. i put shit back in place and it managed to install right although it buzzed and shook around weirdly for a little bit. ever since then it started to get worse and worse until it just decided 'fuck it' and became a DVD frying machine
