well i just got fallout 3 today

i was at the part where you're going into the super market to find food. I activated the maintenence bot, but when I came out of hiding, he saw me. He tells me to leave the building, but i just stand still in the room, at which point he threatens to attack me. Immediately, i went to hide in a small corner of the room and crouched down, and he just walks out of the room as if nothing happened.
he then proceeds to go around killing the other enemies in the building

i swear, bethesda has the best fucking ai programming ever
