i decided to look through my youtube inbox for the first time in about a year

I figured my last words were best left out of the public eye, as to not further sully the comments.
Please understand I mean well when I ask you to be sensitive next time you dislike something. You are absolutely entitled to an opinion, but when you insult what people hold dear, don't be surprised when they give into natural instinct and to rise to defend it. This is the only explanation for my own actions, and I implore you to forgive them. I intended to remedy the situation, but I overlooked the fact that we humans never like to be told we are in the wrong. You acted accordingly, and this is wholly my own fault.
Yet, I think we all have something like that in our lives, something we believe is worth fighting for. Do you not? We're really not all that different, you and I, but in the internet society it is easy to be divided by simple rifts in opinion. I think we're a lot alike, but us and many others who roam here let such doltish matters come between the chance of any real connection.
I will try to learn from my mistakes, and I hope you do as well. For that is how we grow, someday destine to help others grow along with us. I say this with that twelve year old in mind, left alone to pursue the web be influenced by people like us. The children of today are the hope for the future, and their enrichment is dependent on our actions.
I'm not sure what you may think of this, you may call me a fool or any other offensive term, but I will accept that because I understand that further retaliation may mean as much to you as this entire conversation does to me. Keep that in mind as you go on your way.
